Wedding and Event Planning Certification is designed for students looking to get started in the glamorous and exciting wedding and event industry. This hands-on program covers everything a wedding and event planner needs to know, including contracts, etiquette, flowers, music, day of services, marketing, industry business practices and application.

 

This program will provide students with all of the tools necessary to become a professional wedding and event planner. Students will also have the opportunity to participate at real local weddings and events for additional hand-on experience. Graduates will receive an internationally recognized certification, post graduate support and customized internship opportunities.

Preston Bailey’s Signature Wedding & Event Design Course allows students to experience the step-by-step processes and techniques utilized by one of the globe's leading wedding and event experts, industry pioneer Preston Bailey. This new course is a comprehensive “how-to” for the industry, providing real behind-the-scenes footage, photographs and documentation, including insights into the wizardry that can make a wedding a one-of-a-kind, magical event for a couple and their guests.

 

Students receive 4 Preston Bailey books, online instruction and a certificate of completion. As part of the course tuition, students receive all four of Preston Bailey's books and will learn to create and transform ordinary spaces into sumptuous, theatrical environments, translating a client's vision into awe-inspiring reality.

 

Preston's passion for his work has led to many public speaking engagements and numerous television appearances. At any time, one might see Preston on: The Oprah Winfrey Show, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, CBS's The Early Show, and The Today Show. Students receive four books, online curriculum and community access, and a certificate of completion.

The LWPI Green Wedding Planning four-week online certification course teaches wedding and event planners everything needed to help clients make the decisions that lead to a better world for all of us.

 

Students will learn:

• The definition of a green wedding and the environmental movement
• The environmental impacts of green wedding planning
• Environmental certifications and Greenwashing
• Eco-friendly solutions to the environmental planning problems
• How to "green" everything from invitations and attire to locations and decorations
• The ten steps to greening your wedding and event planning business

Students receive the course textbook, The Green Bride Guide, written by course creator and instructor Kate Harrison, online curriculum and community access, and a certificate of completion. This course teaches the planner everything needed to help clients make the decisions that lead to a better world for all of us and teaches how to "green" everything from invitations and attire to locations and decorations.

The Corporate Event Planner Course is a classroom-based curriculum that teaches students the fundamental skills and techniques for planning corporate events. Students receive the course textbook, classroom instruction, and certification exam. Upon completion, students receive a certificate of completion.

The Certified Wedding & Event Planner Course is available for bundling with either the Preston Bailey Signature Wedding & Event Design Course or the Green Wedding Planning Course. Students receive a discount on tuition and are given full access to all course curriculums, textbooks, and online community access. Bundled courses can be offered online only, in the classroom, or as a combination of both. Graduates of bundled courses receive certification in each course category.
